    Why students choose Silla.

A Broad Private University in Western Busan

Silla is a private university with a broad academic profile and an active international office, degree, exchange, Korean language and cultural-experience routes all run through one main campus in Gwaebeop-dong, Sasang-gu.

    Campus-Based, Not Station-Centred

Silla feels different from PNU or the Kyungsung-PKNU strip. It's more campus-based and quieter, with Sasang as the main transport and daily-life hub nearby, better for students who want a focused campus life over big nightlife.

Start at the International Education Building

Every international first step, ARC, dormitory, insurance, Student ID, Korean placement, coordinator routing, starts at the Office of International Affairs (국제교류처) in the International Education Building / 국제교육관.

    The Reality Check

The subway doesn't drop you at the gate, plan the last leg.

Silla is not directly beside a subway exit. From Sasang or Deokpo on Line 2 you still need the university shuttle, a local bus, or a short taxi to reach campus. For first arrival with luggage, taxi from Sasang Station to the main gate is the simplest move. Learn the shuttle access points at Sasang Station Exit 3 / Seobu Bus Terminal area and Deokpo Station Exit 2 early.

University information on this page is reviewed with Korea Study Guide, an independent education advisory platform. Korea Study Guide can help you understand study routes, assess your profile and prepare for the application process.

The free profile review covers a look at your academic background, which study routes and universities may fit, and what documents you would need to prepare. It is guidance only: it does not submit applications for you and does not guarantee admission or a visa.

Start at the International Education Building, the right coordinator depends on your route.

The official English page for international applicants is the Office of International Affairs Application Guide at https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=appguide, reached from SILLA UNIVERSITY then Admissions then Application Guide. It hosts the downloadable Application Guide Book PDF and prints the OIA postal address, TEL 82-51-999-5511 and FAX 82-51-999-5519. Be aware that the page itself is thin. The actual deadlines, document lists and fees sit inside that PDF, which is hosted on a part of silla.ac.kr that blocks automated access, so we could not read them ourselves. The application form lives at https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=appform and the OIA staff directory, which is the most useful contact page, at https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=oiastaff. There is a Korean-language admissions page run by 국제교류처 at https://global.silla.ac.kr/global/index.php?pCode=admission01, but the entire global.silla.ac.kr host blocks automated access, so we could not verify what it contains. Treat it as an unverified secondary link. On campus, go to the International Education Building (국제교육관) and ask the International Affairs Team (국제교류팀) which coordinator handles your route, because the office splits work by degree marketing, GKS, exchange, foreign-student support and Korean language.

    Tuition, as currently published

We could not verify a single Silla tuition figure in August 2026. Silla does not print per-semester tuition for international students on any English page we could read. The fee schedule sits inside the downloadable Application Guide Book PDF linked from the Office of International Affairs Application Guide page, and that PDF is hosted on a part of silla.ac.kr that blocks automated access. Rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind, we are telling you exactly where the number lives and how to get it.

Dormitory charges and meals are billed separately from tuition and are published. See the Housing tab for the 2026 figures.

    Scholarships

Our August 2026 research could not verify any Silla scholarship name, amount or eligibility threshold from an official source. The English Application Guide page does not list them, and the documents that would carry them are behind access blocks. We would rather leave this blank and honest than fill it with figures we have not seen.

    Information being verified

Ask the Office of International Affairs on +82-51-999-5511, or request the Application Guide Book PDF from https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=appguide. Our education partners can confirm what is live for your country and program.

    Global Korea Scholarship

We could not confirm whether Silla University is a Global Korea Scholarship designated institution, or under which track. We are not implying either answer, we simply did not find an official page that says so. Silla's Office of International Affairs does staff a GKS coordinator, listed on this page under Admissions contacts, so that is the person to ask. Do not assume GKS is available at Silla until you have that in writing.

Checked on 3 August 2026. Scholarship names, amounts and thresholds are reset each cycle at every Korean university, so confirm against the guideline for your own intake.

    Typical application windows

We have no confirmed Silla application dates for any intake. The deadlines are published only inside the Application Guide Book PDF, which we could not read. The rows below exist to tell you that plainly, not to give you a date to plan against.

Treat nothing on this page as a confirmed 2027 application date, because there is nothing here to confirm. We did not find published Silla dates for either 2027 intake, and we have deliberately not estimated any. Do not book flights, resign from a job or pay anyone against an assumed deadline. Confirm the live cycle with the Office of International Affairs on +82-51-999-5511, or with our education partners.

    Intake Window Basis
Spring 2027 (March start) Not yet verified: please confirm directly with the university Silla publishes its deadlines inside the Application Guide Book PDF on the Office of International Affairs Application Guide page. That PDF is hosted on a part of silla.ac.kr that blocks automated access, so we could not read a single confirmed date in August 2026. We are not estimating one.
Fall 2027 (September start) Not yet verified: please confirm directly with the university Same position as the Spring intake. No date has been verified from an official Silla source.

Application materials are reached from the English Office of International Affairs pages: the Application Guide at https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=appguide and the Application Form at https://en.silla.ac.kr/en/index.php?pCode=appform. A Korean-language admissions page run by 국제교류처 exists at https://global.silla.ac.kr/global/index.php?pCode=admission01, but the whole global.silla.ac.kr host blocks automated access, so we could not verify its contents.

    Student Life

Quieter, campus-based, with Sasang as the daily-life hub.

Silla feels more campus-based than PNU or the Kyungsung-PKNU strip. The lively nightlife scene isn't outside the gate, but Sasang Station and Seobu Bus Terminal are nearby for shopping, food and transport.

    Campus Facilities & Communities

    • Central Library / 중앙도서관, 1F/2F reading rooms run 07:00–24:00 in semester
    • English Cafe in the International Building 3F, useful for international students

    The Student District

Silla's surrounding area is mainly Sasang, Deokpo and Gwaebeop-dong. For shopping, food and bigger daily supplies, the Sasang Station / Seobu Bus Terminal area is the practical hub.

On-campus you also get convenience stores, cafés, a print shop, bookstore, Busan Bank (Humanities Building 1F, 09:00–16:00), post office (Design and Arts Building 1F) and an optical/general store cluster.

Transport, shuttle notices, cafeteria menus, dormitory rules and medical visits often run in Korean. Papago, Naver Map and KakaoMap cover most everyday gaps.

    On-Campus Dorms

Silla's 2026 dormitory fee notice covers two complexes and bundles meals into the fee. There is no meal opt-out in the published table. 백양생활관 Baekyang Residence Hall (506 beds) runs a single 14 meals per week plan. 글로벌타운 Global Town is the complex that houses international students, with A and B buildings (508 beds) and a female-only C building (212 beds), roughly 1,246 beds across the two complexes. Global Town lets you choose 12, 10 or 7 meals per week, and the fewer meals you take the lower your total. The 2026 table lists 2-person, 3-person and 4-person rooms only. No single room is priced.

Figures are the 2026학년도 관생비 (2026 academic year dormitory charges) posted by Silla on 4 November 2025, checked on 3 August 2026. Silla's own caveat on that notice reads 2026학년도 관생비는 추후 변동될 수 있습니다, meaning the 2026 charges may change later. A separate notice for the 2026 second semester has not been published. Other official Silla pages carry different, undated figures that we do not publish. We publish the 2026 notice because every total in it reconciles exactly with its own management fee, meal count and per-meal rate. If a Silla page quotes you something different, ask which academic year it refers to. Dormitory contact: 글로벌타운 행정실, the Global Town administration office, on +82-51-999-6400 and +82-51-999-6061. Before you pay, confirm your building, room type, meal plan, move-in date and payment deadline.

    Off-Campus Rent

Nearby rent figures are not something we have verified ourselves, so treat listings as a starting point. Search areas: Sasang Station area, Deokpo Station area, Gwaebeop-dong, and the lower campus access road. Useful Korean search terms: 신라대 원룸, 신라대학교 원룸, 사상역 원룸, 덕포역 원룸, 괘법동 원룸, 신라대 자취방. Use Naver 부동산, 직방, 다방 and local real-estate offices.

Never sign sight-unseen. Use a vetted advisor to conduct a physical room check before sending any deposit.

Campus Cafeterias and Cafes (예술관식당 and others)

Silla publishes the locations and opening hours of its campus food outlets but does not publish meal prices on any official page. Do not assume the dormitory meal rates apply here. The KRW 2,700 to KRW 3,500 per-meal figures in the Housing tab are contracted dormitory board rates, not walk-up cafeteria prices. One payment note from the university: 무인시설은 신라머니를 사용할 수 없습니다, the unstaffed self-service outlets do not accept the Silla Money campus card, so carry another payment method.

    Around Silla

Silla's surrounding area is mainly Sasang, Deokpo and Gwaebeop-dong. The campus is more campus-based and less of a 'student street outside the gate' university. For daily food, cafés and shopping, the Sasang Station / Seobu Bus Terminal area is the strongest nearby hub.

For bigger daily supplies, Sasang Station, Seobu Bus Terminal area, nearby supermarkets, Daiso-style shops and local stores cover most needs. The shuttle and short taxi to/from Sasang or Deokpo become part of daily life.
